I had been planning on popping the question for quite some time, but finding the right moment was proving to be difficult. Kendra and I flew back to Wisconsin for an extended weekend to visit family and attend Mike and Leah Englebert's wedding. This was Kendra's first time meeting most of my best friends I grew up with and she fit in just as if she had known everyone all along.I knew this was the right moment and while slow dancing to some old school country I whispered in her ear, what she whispered back would change our lives forever. Yes.
We kept it a secret until the next day in the car with my family, when I asked her if she had anything she needed to tell my family. My mother squealed and cried, my father smiled, and my brother claimed he knew it all along.
